Black pepper and sea salt open the fragrance with a crisp, coastal edge, airy yet defined. Lemon and chamomile move through the center, bringing a soft brightness that feels clean and effortless. Amber and driftwood settle underneath, grounding the scent in a warm, sun-worn depth. Fresh without feeling fleeting. Clean without feeling cold. A coastal scent that lingers with quiet warmth.
Hand-poured into our slate glass keepsake vessel, and crafted with our updated wax blend that includes a touch of beeswax for an even burn and enhanced scent throw, Maris is designed to live beautifully in your home long after the final light.

Candle Care
Trim candle before each use to 1/4” (5mm) keeping wax free of charred bits.
Burn candle for at least 2 hours on the first use. Allowing the wax to melt to the edge of the glass to prevent tunneling.
Avoid burning candle for more than 4 hours
Always burn with caution - never leave unattended, place on a stable surface away from flammable objects and keep out of reach from children & pets.
Store unlit candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
Repurposing Vessel
After you have enjoyed the candles glow, it’s time to prepare the vessel for its second life
How to remove the wax:
- Make sure the wax has cooled and the vessel is at room temperature before starting the process.
- Put the vessel in the freezer for 1 hour to freeze the remaining wax
- Scoop out the wax and let vessel warm to room temperature.
- Once it's room temperature, wash with warm water and dry the inside of the vessel
- Caution: changing the temperature of the glass vessel too quickly can cause the glass to break.

You have 14 days from the date of delivery to return your order. Returns will only be accepted on candles that are in their original condition, have NOT been lit or burned and wax is untouched.

I appreciate how each candle from Auden Lueur has been thoughtfully crafted with layers of fragrance that leave your space smelling exquisitely unique. Maris has become my new favorite!
I honestly hadn't lit the candle until I got the email asking me to review it! It smells so good unlit. The color of the glass is beautiful and really does evoke the image or a stormy sea, or just as the sun is coming. This candle pairs well with your favorite book, the corner or your sofa and a good cup of tea.
The vessel is beautiful and the color is perfect for fall. The smell when the vessel is full and unlit is great! However, after the first burn, the scent is very weak. It doesn't have a very good throw and after the first burn, I really can't smell anything. I light the candle more for the beautiful light the flame casts from the vessel. While I'm sure high quality ingredients are used in the candle, the scent it creates does not warrant the price tag. You're basically paying for the vessel to use for flowers or tea lights after you burn the candle. I may make my own candle and pour the wax into the vessel to reuse it.
Beautiful candle and presentation but my candle had no scent at all. Was very disappointed.

Bought Maris as an addition to bundle on because the description of it sparked my curiosity. I would say that this scent is more on the masculine side. I do enjoy more spicy, woodsy, floral scents... but I can appreciate the care taken towards the development of this one. Gifted this candle as it did not fit my space, but had a friend's birthday come up. They did say the scent is perfectly balanced and adds the touch that their space needed. After lighting it, the scent permeated the small apartment without it being overpowering. Overall, loved the combination of notes from fresh to a bit earthy.

Still an unusual fresh, an wonderful scent, but the reimagining brings it even more fresh and forward period adding the lemon was the perfect touch. Not too strong at all, but brings the freshness up like an ocean breeze.
I have burned both the original Maris and the heirloom Maris, new formula that was given felt like I was being transported in time to a 1960s/1970s beach bungalow! Definitely a good way to wind down during these summer nights! One of my new favorites!

I love XOMaCenna and have been a subscriber for years and years, WAY before the cottage and pandemic. I feel like we are close friends who have grown up together and catch up bi-weekly on the vlog, crazy I know! Because of that I was so exited to support her buy buying candles from her business! I wanted SO badly to love this candle...but I didn't. The scent was super different than expected and honestly, I just didn't like it. I am really excited to finish burning it and use the gorgeous vessel for something fun! Scent is sooooo subjective, so I hope everyone else loves this! It just, sadly, wasn't for me. Love you girl! I'm excited to try out more scents and find my new fav!
